Cincinnati-based cannabis business sees Mansfield as natural next step for retail

In a story published November 18, 2025, Richland Source talked with King City Gardens co-founder Caveh Azadeh by phone. He said the company won a Level I cultivation license in 2021, which came with three dispensary licenses, and bought three more. About 30 percent of Camp Washington sales then came through the drive-thru.

of Camp Washington sales went through the drive-thru, per Azadeh in November 2025.

License history and drive-thru share as Caveh Azadeh described them to Richland Source on November 18, 2025.
This is the founder profile. Azadeh, a mortgage sales executive and University of Kentucky graduate, gathered partners after Ohio legalized medical cannabis in 2016. The state turned the group down at first; they kept at it, including a court fight, and won a Level I cultivation license in 2021.
A Level I license allows up to 25,000 square feet of grow space and comes with three dispensary licenses. King City Gardens bought three more, and transferred one of its licenses to Mansfield, where the building was already finished to spec by Backroad Wellness, a former customer of the grow. Azadeh compared it to taking over a restaurant someone else built out.
