Colerain Township: now open
Chapter 6 / Trade press

MMJDaily puts the grow behind the new store

Ran with a photo of the opening crew, MMJDaily's short take on Colerain spends its words on the cultivation side: a Level 1 grow with about 50,000 square feet of canopy.

The short version

MMJDaily reported on October 21, 2026 that King City Gardens Group is opening The Garden in Colerain Township, its third Greater Cincinnati dispensary. The story ties the store to King City Gardens, a Cincinnati-based, veteran-owned Level 1 cultivator with about 50,000 square feet of canopy.

The cream square is the 2023 grow: eight flower rooms, 25,000 square feet. The lime square is what the company described in October 2026: about twice that in canopy.

2023 figure from the King City Gardens launch release (25,000 sq ft of grow space). 2026 figure from the Colerain release MMJDaily carried (about 50,000 sq ft of cultivation canopy). Cannabis Business Times reported in 2025 that the canopy is built on double tiers.

What MMJDaily reported

MMJDaily writes for cultivators and the people who supply them, and its Colerain story reads that way. The store gets a sentence; the grow behind it gets the rest.

we're excited to bring that same experience to the Colerain community

Caveh Azadeh, Co-founder, King City Gardens. Quoted in MMJDaily.

The numbers it repeats from the company are the ones a grower would ask about first: Level 1 license, veteran ownership, and roughly 50,000 square feet of cultivation canopy.

The point it lands on is vertical integration. Owning the grow and the shop lets King City Gardens put its own product on the shelf while keeping room for other Ohio brands, and the company says it wants to keep growing in its hometown.

What it means at the counter

  1. 1

Colerain Township is the third Greater Cincinnati Garden.

  2. 2

King City Gardens grows what The Garden sells under its own name, then stocks other Ohio brands alongside it.

  3. 3

The story ran with a photo of the store team.
