Staff check a valid government-issued photo ID at the door on every single visit, no exceptions, even for regulars. Ohio law requires it because dispensaries are legally restricted to customers 21 and older, and the check happens before you see the sales floor.

Bring a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Out-of-state IDs work fine. If the name on the ID does not match the person holding it, or the ID looks altered or expired, staff are required to turn the sale away.

Do I need to know what I want before I walk in?

No. A budtender will ask what you are looking for, whether that is a specific effect, a format like flower or edibles, or just a general starting point, and build recommendations from there. Browsing the live menu ahead of time helps but is not required.

The floor at both Garden locations is set up for browsing, not a locked case you have to ask someone to open. You can look at packaging, ask about a brand, or just describe what you liked last time and let staff narrow it down.

How does checkout actually work?

A budtender rings up your items at a register that checks the total against Ohio’s possession limits automatically. You pay with cash or debit through a cashless ATM system, and Spendr is also accepted. Standard credit cards are not, due to federal banking restrictions.

If your cart would put you over the state limit, the system flags it before you pay, not after. Nobody has ever been surprised at the register by a legal problem they caused; the software catches it first.

What should I not do inside the store?

Do not open or consume any product before you leave the property. Do not bring cannabis in from outside to compare or combine with a purchase. Treat the visit like any other regulated retail stop: browse, buy, leave with your bag closed until you are somewhere private.

Public consumption is illegal in Ohio, and that includes the parking lot. Staff cannot let a product be opened on site even if you are just curious. Save that for home.

How long does a typical visit take?

A straightforward visit, ID in hand and a rough idea of what you want, usually takes ten to fifteen minutes from door to parking lot. Ordering ahead on the online menu, then using the drive-thru, cuts that down even further.

Evenings and weekends run busier at both stores, the same way any retail counter does. If speed matters more than browsing, the drive-thru is built for exactly that.

Weekday mornings right after opening tend to run the quietest window at both locations, if timing flexibility is on your side. Either way, nobody is going to rush you through a decision just because a line has formed behind you.
